Before joining, take two minutes to protect your identity on Telegram:

  • Set Settings → Privacy and Security → Phone Number to “Nobody” so other members cannot see your number.
  • Use a pseudonym and a neutral profile photo instead of your real name and face.
  • Restrict Last Seen, Profile Photo, and Forwarded Messages to “Nobody” or “My Contacts”.
  • Enable Two-Step Verification so your account cannot be hijacked with a stolen SMS code.
